While Hampshire didn't have the best season last year (they finished 1-18), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with a 12-8 victory over Whites Creek on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Hawks.

Hampshire got a massive performance out of Kasen Anderson, who scored two runs and stole six bases while going 2-for-2. Those six stolen bases gave Anderson a new career-high. Cameron Marrisett was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.
Hampshire always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
The home team had come away the winner the last four times Fayetteville and Eagleville had met, but sadly for the fans who attended this one that wasn't the case. Fayetteville came up short against Eagleville on Wednesday, falling 17-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Tigers have suffered since May 1, 2024.
Fayetteville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Austin Quick, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Hampshire's record now sits at 8-3. As for Fayetteville, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-2.
Fayetteville's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Hampshire has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .461. It's a different story for Fayetteville, though, as they've only averaged .221. Will they be able to contain Hampshire's hitters?
Hampshire might still be hurting after the 14-4 defeat they got from Fayetteville when the teams last played two weeks ago. Can Hampshire avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
