Hanover Area is 8-2 against MMI Preparatory School since April of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Having struggled with four losses in a row, Hanover Area turned things around against Greater Nanticoke Area on Monday. They came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 9-6.

Caitlin Vigorito made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out 11 batters over seven innings while giving up six earned runs off ten hits. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 5.3 strikeouts per game. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
In other batting news, Madison Ponko was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple was her first of the season. Krysta Shreve was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs, two RBI, and one double.
Hanover Area was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Greater Nanticoke Area only posted a batting average of .241.
Meanwhile, MMI Preparatory School was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They came up short against Berwick, falling 21-0.
MMI Preparatory School's loss dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Hanover Area, their victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 5-12.
Everything went Hanover Area's way against MMI Preparatory School when the teams last played back in April, as Hanover Area made off with a 17-8 win. Will the Hawkeyes repeat their success, or do MMI Preparatory School have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
