Richton had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with  a   9-4  victory over the Forrest County Agricultural Aggies  on Tuesday. This was payback for the Rebels, who suffered  an  11-4  defeat the last time these two teams met.
 Brayleigh Parker spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered  just two earned  (and two unearned) runs on ten hits and racked up nine Ks.
 At the plate,  Micheala Kelly was a standout: she scored a  run while going 1-for-1.  Kenze Jordan was another key player,  scoring two  runs and  stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Forrest County Agricultural is  on  a  15-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.
 Both  teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Richton will take on Forrest County Agricultural at 6:30  p.m.  on February 18th. As for Forrest County Agricultural, they will square off against Hattiesburg at 6:30  p.m.  on Thursday.
