If the Boone Toreadors were riding high off their 62-39 takedown of the Fort Dodge Dodgers on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Boone took a hard 55-40 fall against Perry on Tuesday. Boone was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Perry apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2022.
Perry's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Geren Kenney, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Drake Levan, who scored 9 points along with 7 assists and 4 steals.
Boone's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Perry, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Boone will be playing at home against Winterset at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Perry, they will head out on the road to face off against Ogden at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
