Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Santee). They couldn't have asked for a better start to 2026 than the 71-34 blowout they got against the Westbrook Wildcats. The Falcons not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since February 3, 2025 (when they won 87-43).

Darnell Miller was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 29 points and 22 rebounds. Those 22 boards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Martin Alvarez, who posted eight points in addition to ten rebounds and six steals.

Santee's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Westbrook, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.

Santee didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 65-58 loss against Torres on the 7th. As for Westbrook, they have also already played their next matchup, a 92-33 defeat against Hawkins on the 7th.
