Valley View is 0-6 against the Raiders since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Valley View Tigers will head out on the road to take on the Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North Raiders at 6:00 p.m. Valley View comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
Last Tuesday, Valley View was beaten by the Warriors 76-9. Valley View has struggled against the Warriors recently, as their game on Tuesday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North was able to grind out a solid victory over the Rattlers on Tuesday, taking the game 41-32. The victory was just what Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North needed coming off of a 58-22 loss in their prior match.
Valley View dropped their record down to 0-18 with that defeat, which was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-16 record this season.
Valley View took a serious blow against the Raiders in their previous meeting back in January, falling 46-8. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Pharr-San Juan-Alamo North's Alexandra Gonzalez, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 11 steals.
