West Forsyth is a perfect 5-0 against Parkland since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Titans will host the Mustangs at 7:00 p.m. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (West Forsyth has four straight victories, Parkland has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Parkland's offense is going to have their work cut out for them on Friday: West Forsyth hadn't allowed a single point the last three times they've hit the field. The Titans took their contest on Friday with ease, bagging a 35-0 win over Reagan. The result was nothing new for the Titans, who have now won six matchups by 28 points or more so far this season.
West Forsyth's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mozes Morris, who rushed for 131 yards and three scores. The team also got some help courtesy of Haines Robitzer, who threw for 192 yards and a pair of touchdowns while completing 90.9% of his passes.
West Forsyth didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Reagan to a completion percentage of just 33.3%. The team can thank PJ Dean for the heroic effort on defense: he. West Forsyth has been improving in that area: they had allowed a completion percentage of 0.6 earlier this season, but they've only allowed one of 0.6 in their last three games.
Meanwhile, Parkland had to suffer through a 58-14 loss at the hands of Northwest Guilford. While losing is never fun, the Mustangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 309th, while the Vikings are ranked 130th).
Parkland's defeat dropped their record down to 1-8. As for West Forsyth, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Friday's game might be decided in the trenches. West Forsyth has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 235.3 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Parkland, though, as they've been averaging only 58.1 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
West Forsyth came out on top in a nail-biter against Parkland in their previous meeting back in September of 2024, sneaking past 22-20. Do the Titans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Mustangs turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
