Butler extended their winning streak to three on Tuesday, bumping them up to 10-4. They were the clear victors by a 17-1 margin over the Mallard Creek Mavericks. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight contests by eight runs or more this season.

Ashlynne Forrest made a splash no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March of 2025. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one RBI.

In other batting news, Cherie Carter was incredible, going 3-for-4 with five RBI, three runs, and one triple. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Nevaeh Espaillat was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs.

Butler always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .613. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mallard Creek only posted an OBP of .200.

As for Mallard Creek, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-11. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

On Mallard Creek's side, they saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Cecelia Aurelio, who went 1-for-2 with one run.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Butler will head out to take on Palisades at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Pumas have averaged an impressive 10.7 runs per game this season. As for Mallard Creek, they are taking a road trip to face off against Ballantyne Ridge at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Wolves have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 10.58 runs per game on average), something the Mavericks will no doubt try to take advantage of.
