Capital Prep/Achievement First put the finishing touches on their fourth blowout victory of the season on Friday. They blew past Stafford/Somers/East Windsor 27-6. The win made it back-to-back wins for Capital Prep/Achievement First.
It was another big night for Hashim Jones, who rushed for 211 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.6 yards per carry. Jones hasn't dropped below 100 rushing yards for four straight games.
Meanwhile, after only 12 points in their last contest, Haddam-Killingworth made sure to put some points up on the board against Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial on Friday. Haddam-Killingworth took their matchup on the road with ease, bagging a 34-0 victory over Coventry/Windham RVT/Bolton/Lyman Memorial.
Haddam-Killingworth can attribute much of their success to Bryce Lacosse, who threw for 208 yards and two touchdowns, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground.
Capital Prep/Achievement First is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-4 record this season. As for Haddam-Killingworth, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-6.
Capital Prep/Achievement First might still be hurting after the 34-8 defeat they got from Haddam-Killingworth in their previous matchup back in November of 2022. Can Capital Prep/Achievement First avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
