Saniah Atchison made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Madison Malone was another key player, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Hampton got a massive performance out of Hannah Smith, who scored four runs and stole three bases while going 3-for-4. Smith has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times she's played. Another player making a difference was Maleah Scalf, who scored two runs and stole five bases while going 2-for-4.
Hampton kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.
The victory made it two in a row for Hampton and bumps their season record up to 2-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.5 runs over those games. As for Chuckey-Doak, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6.
Wednesday's contest might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chuckey-Doak has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .443. However, it's not like Hampton struggles in that department as they've averaged .445. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
