Softball Recap: Estacada Has No Trouble Against Junction City

Estacada made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Junction City, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Rangers were the clear victors by a 12-1 margin over the Tigers on Friday. Considering the Rangers have won six matches by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Estacada has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.0 runs over those games. As for Junction City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-6.

Estacada and Junction City will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Rangers will face off against rival Molalla at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Junction City is set to challenge their familiar foe Marshfield at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
