Even though the Boardman Spartans have not done well against the Louisville Leopards recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Saturday. Boardman walked away with a 55-45 win over Louisville. The win made it back-to-back wins for Boardman.
Boardman's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Mackenzie Riccitelli, who scored 25 points along with 7 rebounds. Samantha Duble was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Boardman's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Louisville, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boardman's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Lake at 7:00 p.m. on December 6th. Lake is coming into the match hot, having won their last three games. As for Louisville, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Canfield at 7:00 p.m.
