After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Smoky Mountain, Hayesville was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They put the hurt on the Cherokee Braves with a sharp 23-3 victory. The Yellowjackets might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven matches by seven runs or more this season.

Kyle Shaheen was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Tate Roberts, who scored two runs while going 2-for-3.

Shaheen wasn't the only one making solid contact: Hayesville kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 30 hits. The Yellowjackets are a perfect 3-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

Hayesville's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 8-6. As for Cherokee, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-7.

Hayesville will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Braves: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on the 21st.
