After four games on the road, Central is heading back home. They will take on the Paseo Academy of Performing Arts Pirates at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Central focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Tuesday.
Central put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat East 101-33 on the road. That 68 points margin sets a new team best for Central this season.
Central can attribute much of their success to Brandon Moore, who scored 26 points along with nine steals and six assists, and Zahir Ragsdale, who scored 33 points along with eight steals. Moore has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last four times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Darren McHenry, who scored ten points along with nine rebounds and six assists.
Meanwhile, Paseo Academy of Performing Arts' recent rough patch got a bit rougher back in December of 2023 after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Parkway South, falling 67-31. Paseo Academy of Performing Arts was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-13.
Central is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season. As for Paseo Academy of Performing Arts, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
