The biggest upset of the week belonged to Mercer, who took down 147th ranked Lakeview, 19-8.
The Mustangs moved up to 118 from 158 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in District 10 Region 1 A. Mercer climbed the ranks as a result of topping the Sailors 19-8.
West Middlesex's Trey Staunch and Dillon Fair have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Staunch has thrown for 421 yards this season, while Fair, a 6-foot-1 receiver, has 18 catches for 230 yards. Blake Reddick from Lakeview leads the league in rushing with 684 yards.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Mercer takes on second place West Middlesex.
Adding to the longest winning streak in District 10 Region 1 A this week, Pat Mcclearn's team beat Dan York's team 19-8,. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Mustangs.
