On Wednesday, Green Mountain took their match with ease, bagging a 66-39 victory over Littleton. The Rams have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 21 points or more this season.
Green Mountain's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Julia Schafer led the charge by going 6 for 9 en route to 12 points in addition to eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Grace Herrig, who posted nine points along with six boards and six steals.
Green Mountain was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since back in January of 2024.
Meanwhile, D'Evelyn's undefeated season came to an end after 17 games on Wednesday. They were beaten by Golden 61-31. The game marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring match so far this season.

Green Mountain's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-2. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 25.9 points per game. As for D'Evelyn, their loss ended a 13-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 17-1.
Rebounding is likely to be a big factor in this contest: Green Mountain has been crashing the boards this season, having averaged 25.6 rebounds per game. However, it's not like D'Evelyn struggles in that department as they've been averaging 29.9 boards. With both teams battling to corral missed shots, we'll see if one team can grab an edge.
Green Mountain skirted past D'Evelyn 30-28 in their previous meeting back in February of 2024. Will Green Mountain repeat their success, or does D'Evelyn have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
