Doral Academy was led to victory by Martin Nunez and Gabriel Montenegro-Bet. Nunez scored 12 points, while Montenegro-Bet scored 14 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Montenegro-Bet has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Oscar Hernandez, who scored nine points.
Miami Springs' defeat dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Doral Academy, their win bumped their record up to 10-11.
Miami Springs' road trip will continue as they head out to face Booker T. Washington at 7:00 p.m. on February 6th. Booker T. Washington is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.6 points per game this season. As for Doral Academy, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Doral Academy is facing Everglades at the right time seeing as Everglades is stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
