The Spanish Fork Dons will take on the Westlake Thunder at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Spanish Fork has five straight victories, Westlake has four straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Spanish Fork's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Timpview with a sharp 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Dons, who have now won ten matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Anaca Olsen was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out ten over five innings pitched. That's the most strikeouts she has posted since back in March. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lia Higginson was a standout: she went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Taylani Reid, who went 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Spanish Fork kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in eight consecutive games.
Meanwhile, Westlake faced Copper Hills in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Thursday. The Thunder fell just short of the Grizzlies by a score of 2-1.
Emmri Chuchran made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run.
Westlake's loss dropped their record down to 14-8-1. As for Spanish Fork, their victory bumped their record up to 18-7.
Spanish Fork's speedy runners might be the difference in Monday's contest. The Dons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.8 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Westlake, though, as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1.2 stolen bases.
