 Tyler Rotellini tossed a big game,   striking out eight batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned run off   two  hits. The dominant performance gave  him a new career-high in  strikeouts.
 On the hitting side, Wakefield's win was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Ben Dudash, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3. What's more,  Dudash posted two  RBI, the most he's  had since back in April of 2024.  Evan Genao also deserves some recognition as  he  launched his first  home run of the season.
Wakefield's record is now 3-1. As for East Wake Academy, their  loss was their first of the  season and also makes their record 3-1.
 Looking ahead, Wakefield will square off against Sanderson at 4:00  p.m.  on Friday. Wakefield's pitching crew has only allowed 3.8  runs per game  this season, so Sanderson's hitters will have their work cut out for them. East Wake Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the  defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Heritage at 7:00  p.m.  on March 14th.
