Despite the loss, North Salinas saw an underclassman step up: Andre Lizaola scored 15 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lizaola scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Logan Bayhonan, who scored six points.
North Salinas has been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season. As for Gonzales, their victory bumped their record up to 2-6.
