Alleghany can bid farewell to their nine-game losing streak thanks to their game on Tuesday. They came out on top against the North Stokes Vikings by a score of 11-6. The Trojans' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Liam Williams and William Billings made a big impact while hitting and pitching. Throwing, Williams pitched 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Billings tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off four hits. That's the fewest hits Williams has allowed since back in March of 2024. At the plate, Williams went 2-for-3 with two RBI, while Billings went 2-for-4 with two RBI. That's the most RBI Williams has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Alleghany let Damon Davis and Garrett Higgins run wild. Davis scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances, while Higgins scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. The dominant performance also gave Higgins a new career-high in RBI (three). John Lemasters also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Alleghany always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .550. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Alleghany's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-9. As for North Stokes, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 9-4.

Looking ahead, Alleghany will square off against North Wilkes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Stokes, they will take on Alleghany at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
