Despite their defeat, Batesburg-Leesville saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Jr Stewart, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and three blocks, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Amadre Wooden, who scored seven points along with five assists and two steals.
Fox Creek is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-9 record this season. As for Batesburg-Leesville, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.
This contest is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor: Fox Creek have been smashing the glass this season, having averaged 32.4 rebounds per game. However, it's not like Batesburg-Leesville struggles in that department as they've been averaging 31.9 rebounds per game.
