Curtis was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 7-6 heartbreaker at the hands of the Lincoln Railsplitters. On the bright side, the six- run performance marked the Warriors' highest-scoring match to date.

Curtis' defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lincoln, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1.

Curtis wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 10-0 loss against Grand Street Campus on the 4th. As for Lincoln, they will challenge Wagner at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Railsplitters are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
