Geraldine's rock-solid pitchers showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Asbury Rams a 6-0 shutout. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won six matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Geraldine let Alice Jordan and Sophie Bearden run wild. Jordan scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Bearden scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-4. Those two stolen bases gave Bearden a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kendyl Higgins, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI.

Geraldine's victory bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Asbury, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-10.

Geraldine and Asbury will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time Geraldine sees the field they'll take on Valley Head at 4:30 p.m. on April 1. As for Asbury, their break will end when they face Brindlee Mountain at 4:30 p.m. on the 31st.
