Marathon were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They put the hurt on Chequamegon with a sharp 47-14 win. Marathon have a history of success against Chequamegon, winning their last head-to-head 47-14.
The win got Marathon back to even at 2-2. The defeat dropped Chequamegon's record to 1-3.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Marathon take on Rib Lake-Prentice at 7:00 PM. Chequamegon will look to defend their home turf against Edgar at 7:00 PM.
