The Fredericksburg V Victory's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their third straight loss. The match between Fredericksburg V and St. Michael the Archangel wasn't particularly close, with Fredericksburg V falling 45-31. Fredericksburg V lost against St. Michael the Archangel in their previous head to head last Friday, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 57-16 score last time.
St. Michael the Archangel's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Savannah Teel, who scored 11 points along with seven steals. Another player making a difference was Janaye Martinez, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 20 rebounds.
Fredericksburg V's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for St. Michael the Archangel, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fredericksburg V will take on Fairfax HomeSchool at 10:15 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Michael the Archangel, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on Varsity Opponent at 5:30 p.m. on January 15th.
