Spanish Fork has gone 8-2 against Maple Mountain recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Wednesday. The Dons will challenge the Eagles at 10:30 a.m. Spanish Fork is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.1 runs per game this season.
Spanish Fork heads in on the heels of a playoff matchup on Tuesday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Box Elder. The Dons' loss signaled the end of their ten-game winning streak.

Lia Higginson made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
Meanwhile, Maple Mountain beat Hunter 9-5 on Tuesday.
Kyla Donegan spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned runs on 12 hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Brinley Cherrington was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Izzie Groneman, who went 3-for-4 with three runs.
Maple Mountain hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Hunter struck out nine times.
Maple Mountain has been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-9 record this season. As for Spanish Fork, their defeat dropped their record down to 23-8.
Spanish Fork's speedy runners might be the difference in Wednesday's contest. The Dons have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 2.7 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Maple Mountain, though, as they've been averaging only 0.6 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Spanish Fork continue to outrun the ball?
Spanish Fork skirted past Maple Mountain 7-5 when the teams last played back in April. Will the Dons repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
