The Westbrook Wildcats on the road again on Friday and play against the Hermleigh Cardinals at 8:00 p.m. on January 26th. Westbrook has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 284 points over their last four contests.
Westbrook can now show off seven landslide victories after their most recent game on Tuesday. They really took it to Ira for the full four quarters, racking up a 74-30 win on the road. With Westbrook ahead 35-10 at the half, the contest was all but over already.
Westbrook's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Grayson Jeffrey, who scored 13 points along with five assists and five steals. Another player making a difference was Parker Matlock, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds and two steals.
Meanwhile, Hermleigh didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Texas Leadership Charter Academy - Abilene on Tuesday, but they still walked away with a 50-44 win.
Westbrook has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 8-4 record this season. As for Hermleigh, their win bumped their record up to 9-15.
Westbrook came up short against Hermleigh in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 44-40. Can Westbrook avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
