The Hackett Hornets fell on hard times earlier this season, but after back-to-back victories it seems like their luck might finally be changing. They took their game on the road on Friday with ease, bagging a 45-8 victory over Greenland. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-0.
Hackett was led to victory by Cole Ketchum and Jeremy Lawyer. Ketchum rushed for 95 yards and a touchdown on only seven carries, while Lawyer rushed for 153 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.6 yards per carry. Ketchum was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 58 yards. Wyatt Hester was in the mix too, providing Hackett with two touchdowns.
Hackett is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season. As for Greenland, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Hackett will be playing in front of their home fans against Mansfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mansfield is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Greenland, they will head out on the road to face off against West Fork at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (West Fork is ranked 156th, while Greenland is ranked 163rd).
