There's no place like home for Dutch Fork, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They put the hurt on the River Bluff Gators with a sharp 7-1 win on Thursday. Considering the Silver Foxes have won five games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Raleigh Salters was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was L Cesario, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI and one double.
The victory snapped Dutch Fork's losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 11-5 record. As for River Bluff, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-3.
Coming up, Dutch Fork will take on Camden in a tournament on Saturday. The Silver Foxes are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for River Bluff, they will face off against Airport at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Gators 3.2, the Eagles 2.8) so any runs scored will be well earned.
