Phoenix Day School for the Deaf may have come out ahead in their last game, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they take on Arete Prep at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf and Arete Prep will really light up the scoreboard.
Don't be fooled by the insanely high score: we promise Phoenix Day School for the Deaf and Colorado School for the Deaf Blind were playing football. Phoenix Day School for the Deaf came out on top against Colorado School for the Deaf Blind by a score of 68-55 last Saturday. The success made it back-to-back wins for Phoenix Day School for the Deaf.
Meanwhile, Arete Prep put the finishing touches on their 3rd blowout victory of the season. They took the match and then some with a 43-8 victory over Ray. Arete Prep were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
Their wins bumped Arete Prep to 4-2 and Phoenix Day School for the Deaf to 3-4. The Arete Prep defense got after the quarterback against Ray to the tune of six sacks, so Phoenix Day School for the Deaf's offensive line better have put in some good practice this past week in preparation for the contest.
