Glendale is 0-5 against Youngker since December of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Glendale Cardinals will head out on the road to challenge the Youngker Roughriders at 7:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Thursday, things could have been worse for Glendale, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 69-50 loss to Kofa. Glendale has struggled against Kofa recently, as their match on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Youngker was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Thursday as they fell 57-52 to Buckeye. It was the first time this season that Youngker let down their fans at home.
The losing side was boosted by Ares Chambers, who scored 22 points along with seven rebounds and three steals. He hasn't dropped below two steals for four straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Williams, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Glendale has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-7 record this season. As for Youngker, they now have a losing record at 5-6.
Glendale might still be hurting after the 79-58 defeat they got from Youngker when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Glendale avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
