Having just played yesterday, the Midlothian Heritage Jaguars will jump right back in to play the Greenhill Hornets at 12:30 p.m. on Friday. Midlothian Heritage is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
On Thursday, everything went Midlothian Heritage's way against Nacogdoches as Midlothian Heritage made off with a 64-41 victory. Given Midlothian Heritage's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 178th, while Nacogdoches is ranked 520th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Midlothian Heritage to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ava Batty, who scored 16 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Grace Sweeney, who scored 14 points.
Greenhill has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They fell 62-49 to Richardson on Thursday.
Midlothian Heritage's win bumped their record up to 15-9. As for Greenhill, their loss dropped their record down to 10-5.
Midlothian Heritage couldn't quite finish off Greenhill in their previous meeting back in December of 2019 and fell 55-52. Can Midlothian Heritage avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
