Wright City is on a three-game streak of home losses, Van-Far a 12-game streak of away losses (dating back to last season), but someone's luck is about to change. The Wright City Wildcats will take on the Van-Far Indians at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Wright City might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 71-27 to North Callaway, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. While losing is never fun, Wright City can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 400th, while North Callaway is ranked 137th).
Meanwhile, Van-Far came up short against Wellsville-Middletown on Tuesday and fell 40-30. Van-Far has struggled against Wellsville-Middletown recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
The losing side was boosted by Mckenna Engh-hoffman, who scored six points.
Wright City has traveled a rocky road recently having lost nine of their last 11 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-13 record this season. As for Van-Far, their loss dropped their record down to 1-17.
