After a string of six wins, the Riverside Warriors's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 68-61 to Wade Hampton. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (57), Riverside still had to take the loss.
Despite the defeat, Riverside saw an underclassman step up: Kyndal Haroski scored 26 points. Another player making a difference was Madison Garrido, who scored eight points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
Riverside's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 15-8. As for Wade Hampton, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Riverside will square off against Greer at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Riverside knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past seven games -- so hopefully Greer likes a good challenge. As for Wade Hampton, they will head out on the road to challenge Eastside at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Wade Hampton will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Eastside surely won't give up without a fight.
