After losing to the Gadsden City Titans the last time they met, the Oxford Yellow Jackets decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Oxford walked away with a 43-31 victory over Gadsden City on Monday. The win made it back-to-back wins for Oxford.
Oxford found their leader in underclassman Ava Thomas, who scored 11 points along with six steals. Shay Montgomery was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Oxford's victory ended a five-game drought on the road and puts them at 16-13. As for Gadsden City, their defeat ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 12-17.
Oxford does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Gadsden City also has no future games currently scheduled.
