It was a good run, but the Oviedo Lions unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. The contest between Oviedo and Orlando Christian Prep wasn't particularly close, with Oviedo falling 64-49. Oviedo lost against Orlando Christian Prep in their previous head to head back in November of 2020, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 82-51 score last time.
Despite the loss, Oviedo still got an impressive performance from Alex Harper, who scored 20 points along with 3 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Trenten Wollmer, who scored 7 points along with 6 rebounds.
Oviedo's defeat dropped their record down to 4-1. As for Orlando Christian Prep, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Oviedo will head out on the road to face off against Winter Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Orlando Christian Prep, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Harmony at 7:00 p.m. Harmony is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
