The West Trojans will be home for the holidays to greet the Live Oak Classical Falcons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. West is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
On Tuesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, West beat Riesel 42-36. Given West's advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while Riesel is ranked 638th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Live Oak Classical came up short against First Baptist on Tuesday and fell 54-42. It was the first time this season that Live Oak Classical let down their fans at home.
West's win bumped their record up to 14-1. As for Live Oak Classical, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 7-7.
