Baseball Recap: Mcpherson Has No Trouble Against Mulvane

McPherson lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Mulvane, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Thursday's game. The Bullpups blew past the Wildcats 10-4 on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Bullpups, who have now won 12 matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Ian Razak made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off four hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Brody Seidl, who got on base in all five of his plate appearances with six stolen bases, four runs, and one RBI. Those six stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Brock Richardson was another key player, going 1-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

McPherson's record now sits at 15-1. As for Mulvane, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 10-3-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. McPherson will welcome Rose Hill on Tuesday. As for Mulvane, they will host Buhler at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Crusaders will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Wildcats surely won't give up without a fight.
