On Tuesday, Liberty was the victim of a rough 70-48 defeat at the hands of Ankeny Centennial. Liberty was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-17.
Several Lightning players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Gage Kampman, who scored 8 points along with 10 rebounds and 4 blocks. Another player making a difference was Maddoc Coapstick, who scored 10 points.
Liberty's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Ankeny Centennial, they now have a winning record of 2-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty's road trip will continue as they head out to face Iowa City West at 7:30 p.m. on December 8th. As for Ankeny Centennial, they will challenge Johnston at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
