Lyford has gone a perfect 10-0 against Santa Rosa recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:00 p.m. Lyford is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.4 runs per game this season.

Last Tuesday, Lyford got the win against Rio Hondo by a conclusive 9-3. The result was nothing new for the Bulldogs, who have now won nine matchups by six runs or more so far this season.

Diego Medina made a splash while hitting and pitching. He didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. Medina was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Lyford always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Santa Rosa was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against Raymondville, falling 14-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Warriors' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Lyford pushed their record up to 15-8 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Santa Rosa, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-11.

Lyford took their victory against Santa Rosa in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 11-0 score. Will the Bulldogs repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
