On Friday, the Blessed Trinity Titans's game was all tied up 13-13 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They walked away with a 43-36 win over Roswell. That's another feather in the cap for Blessed Trinity, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Several Hornets players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Eve Buckley, who scored 15 points along with five assists. The contest was Buckley's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Alex Gonda, who scored five points along with seven steals and seven blocks.
Roswell struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only an offensive rebound. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Blessed Trinity's win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Roswell, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-11.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Blessed Trinity is on the road again on Friday and play against Pope at 6:00 p.m. on January 12th. Roswell won't have much time to rest: their next match is against North Springs at 2:00 p.m. on January 6th. North Springs is out to stop a seven-game streak of losses at home.
