After losing to the Sturgeon Bulldogs the last time they met, the New Bloomfield Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. New Bloomfield walked away with a 54-47 victory over Sturgeon on Thursday.
It was another big night for Nathan Fuhriman, who scored 18 points. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of New Bloomfield's points. Jacob Fuhriman was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with four steals.
New Bloomfield's win bumped their record up to 4-8. As for Sturgeon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
New Bloomfield's road trip will continue as they head out to face North Callaway at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024. Sturgeon will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Slater at 7:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024.
