It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Mission Heights Prep Phantoms can now relate to. They took a serious blow against Heritage Academy on Thursday, falling 56-0. Mission Heights Prep has struggled against Heritage Academy recently, as their match on Thursday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.
Rylend Doble threw for 56 yards on four of 15 attempts. Cade Riggs was his top target, picking up 27 receiving yards.
Mattson Young was on fire for Heritage Academy: he rushed for 55 yards and three touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 221 yards and three touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes. Heritage Academy also got a significant boost from Ryan Nelson, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 98 yards.
Mission Heights Prep has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-4 record this season. As for Heritage Academy, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 9-0.
