The Red Rock Central Falcons scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They blew past Yellow Medicine East, posting a 77-31 win at home. The win was a breath of fresh air for Red Rock Central as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Red Rock Central had a senior duo take command as Jayden Lang scored 24 points along with four steals and Isaac Simonson dropped a double-double on 17 points and 16 rebounds. The game was Simonson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Corey Arkell, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Red Rock Central's victory bumped their record up to 3-5. As for Yellow Medicine East, they bumped their record down to 0-8 with that defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Red Rock Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Springfield at 7:30 p.m. on December 22nd. Hopefully Springfield focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Thursday.
