The biggest upset of the week belonged to Highland, who took down 126th ranked Green, 43-21.
The Hornets moved up to 111 from 150 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Suburban. Highland was able to make the jump by topping the Bulldogs 43-21.
Anthony Gotto and Johnny Linn gave Tallmadge a balanced attack through the air and ground last week. Gotto threw for 286 yards and two touchdowns, while Linn ran for 100 yards. Teammate Daniel Ray added to the ground attack by rushing for 44 yards.
Tyler Beery was the best wideout in the league this week as Cloverleaf fell to the Blue Devils. Beery racked up two receptions for 87 yards. Devin Cunningham helped Cloverleaf's passing attack out by catching four balls for 51 yards.
Tallmadge's Gotto and Jacob Wood have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Gotto has thrown for 1845 yards this season, while Wood, a 6-foot-5 receiver, has 31 catches for 469 yards. Cunningham from the Colts leads the league in rushing with 1102 yards.
Entering into this week's contest against Wadsworth, Gotto is short just 155 passing yards to break 2,000 on the season.
Two of the top units in Suburban will face off this week when the Blue Devils take on the Grizzlies. Tallmadge's offense has racked up 279 points this season, earning them the top spot in the league, while Wadsworth has allowed only 107 on the year.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Tom Lombardo's team takes on Nordonia. The Hornets are in fourth place, while the Knights are in first place.
Nordonia extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Revere, 40-10. The victory was the seventh in a row for the team.
