Harding was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight  defeat. They took  an  11-6 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bristol Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Harding of the  19-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture  back in April of 2022.
 For Bristol's part,  Raegan Macklin was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out ten batters over  seven innings while giving up just one earned  (and five unearned) runs off   seven  hits. Macklin was also solid in the batter's box,  scoring a  run while going 3-for-3.
 In other batting news, Bristol let  Alexa Atchison and  Cadence Imhoff loose on the outfield. Atchison  went 4-for-5 with five  RBI, two  runs,  and a  triple, while  Imhoff  went 3-for-5 with a  home run, four  runs,  and three  RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of  Nadia Ashick, who  scored two  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances.
 Harding's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bristol, their  win (their first of the  season) made their record 1-2.
 Harding will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Windham at 5:00  p.m.  on April 9th. As for Bristol, they will be staying on the road  on Monday to face off against St. John at 5:00  p.m. Bristol has given up an average of 8.3 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
