Michael Carrillo and Kai Arvan provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Ontario Christian. The connection went for 80 yards, the longest such play in Central this season.
Robby Weissenfels of Coronado ran for the longest rushing play in the league this season against Bishop's last week. Weissenfels' team fell to the Knights as he sprinted for 75 yards on the play and finished with 96 in all.
Christian's dynamic duo of Carrillo and Arvan proved tough for the Knights to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Carrillo threw for 286 yards and 2 touchdowns and Arvan had 145 yards receiving. Trenton Sauls helped Christian's passing attack out by catching 3 balls for 45 yards.
The Patriots' dynamic duo of Carrillo and Arvan proved to be unstoppable against Ontario Christian, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week.
Carrillo put up the best numbers in passing as Christian beat the Knights.
Weissenfels was the most successful running back in the league this week.
He was 16-21 with 1 interception.
Arvan was the best wideout in Central this week as Matt Oliver's team defeated Ontario Christian.
The Patriots' Carrillo and Arvan have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Carrillo has thrown for 1,005 yards this season, while Arvan, a 6-foot-0 receiver, has 15 catches for 318 yards. Alex Beaubien from Clairemont leads the league in rushing with 297 yards.
The Chieftains scaled the state rankings by moving to 655 from 738 this week, the biggest jump in the league. Clairemont climbed the ranks as a result of besting Castle Park 34-0.
