The Palm Bay Pirates can now show off ten landslide victories after their most recent matchup on Thursday. They blew past Centennial, posting a 64-27 victory at home. Given Palm Bay's advantage in MaxPreps' Florida basketball rankings (they are ranked 17th, while Centennial is ranked 117th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Palm Bay to victory, but perhaps none more so than Kiara Williams, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Erynn Moffett, who scored 12 points.
Palm Bay pushed their record up to 17-6 with that victory, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 34.4 points. As for Centennial, they have not been sharp recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-8 record this season.
Palm Bay will head out on the road to face off against Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Centennial, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Lincoln Park Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. Lincoln Park Academy will be looking to extend their current 14-game winning streak.
