After three games on the road, Wayne County is heading back home. They will take on the Collinwood Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Last Tuesday, Wayne County didn't have too much trouble with Huntland on the road as they won 67-53.
Wayne County found their leader in underclassman Cayman Camfield, who dropped a double-double on 27 points and 15 rebounds. Camfield is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games he's played. Sayler Skelton was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, Collinwood's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fourth straight loss. The game between them and Wayne County wasn't particularly close, with Collinwood falling 63-44. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Collinwood in their matchups with Wayne County: they've now lost seven in a row.
Wayne County is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season. As for Collinwood, their loss dropped their record down to 1-13.
